Before I can speak intelligently about the services that might be appropriate for you and your family, I need to get to know you. And, before you can feel comfortable sharing your goals and dreams, you need to get to know me.

Clayton P. Hahs joined Northwestern Mutual in Cape Girardeau, MO, in July 2008 after serving eleven years on active duty in the United States Navy.

He graduated with merit from the United States Naval Academy in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering.  Upon graduating, he served as a Surface Warfare Officer, deploying two times.

In May 2004, Clayton received his Juris Doctorate from Roger William’s University School of Law and transitioned into the Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAGC).  He was stationed in Jacksonville, FL, where he practiced military justice law and consumer and family law for sailors and marines preparing for deployment.

In December 2007, Clayton was appointed Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida where he prosecuted federal crimes committed by civilians on U.S. Naval installations within the Middle District of Florida and the U.S. Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.  He is presently serving in the Navy Reserve.

As a Wealth Management Advisor with Northwestern Mutual, Clayton works with individuals, families and businesses helping them develop a detailed financial plan that includes both protecting against risk and saving and investing for the future.  He is a third generation advisor with Northwestern Mutual.  His grandfather, the late M. Luther Hahs, founded the Hahs Agency in Cape Girardeau in 1952, and his father has been with the agency since 1972.

Clayton is married to the former Mistell Secoy of East Prairie, MO.  They have two children, Samuel and Ella Clayton.
